LABORATORY MEDIA CEILINGS

ASI LMC SERIES LABORATORY MEDIA CEILINGS

ASI LMC series Laboratory Media Ceilings and our Unimodule service island modules are designed to assist in the ever changing laboratory design needs to create the next generation of social adaptable open design laboratories which can foster team based research interaction while providing a system design balance of flexibility, ease of expansion and equipment placement, with a forum of pre-engineered standard design elements for integration of todays advanced technologies.

LMC series Unimodule Laboratory Media Ceilings is a pre-designed laboratory service center working module with the core design fabricated from our 2” extruded aluminum alloy 6063 with tempered T5 Satin clear anodized finish profile ceiling support grid members, integrated ceiling quick connection technical service panels, various ceiling device element placement openings, custom formed end sink station with storage, waste collection, peg board, associated services, soap and paper towel dispenser and all modular panelized end wall enclosure systems.

System service center island module designs are available for placement of either 60” or 72” back-to-back work station modulation in pre-engineered basic working adaptable table modules, combination of working table and fume hood exhaust modules, exhaust and HEPA isolation flow modules, complete with industry compliance form and fit functions including factory installed options to minimize field installation time while providing fast-track material deliveries.

ASI LMC series Laboratory Media Ceilings all modular systems are designed to provide free-standing or ceiling supported structural designs. Integration of island Unimodules to form a complete ballroom working laboratory including flexibility in facility layout and expansions.

Design Flexibility with ease of installation

Factory supply of laboratory media ceiling material is done via a non-progressive ladder mounting design format to minimize field installation time.

The ceiling incidental service blank panel openings are designated for placement of various devices and material selections depending on the specific module operation type selected. Incidental service core panels are not flush with the top of the secondary main support tee grid, and as such are designated as placement of laboratory support services distribution for plumbing, electrical, data, and media ceiling service support platforms for any associated airflow devices or specialized requirements. The system is flexible to future changes at minimum disruption and cost.

The ceiling system is designed for ballroom placement with supporting hardware on a modulation of 50-inch by 96-inch centers to building structure via our extruded top notch main support grid connection flange with associated suspension hardware. The system can also be design with smaller modulation for increased point loads.

Grid shall be design supported at the established center distances to suit application. Mounting hardware supply shall consist of turnbuckle with LH/RH threaded rod connecting from the supplied turnbuckle to the main support grid mounting spring and locking nut assembly point with final connection to base building support from supplied termination to be furnished by others. Grid shall accommodate field change of mounting location without modification or requirement of additional grid components.
